Adult Bible Fellowships (ABFs) are a primary tool used in building relationships within Melonie Park.  These fellowships are designed to encourage and provide an atmosphere where we can deepen and grow in our maturity in Jesus Christ through “good input” (Biblically based teaching), “good upkeep” (fellowship, shepherding and prayer) and “good output” (serving and outreach).

 

Sure Foundation (Room 1)
Teacher: Mark Hardy. This ABF is for all ages and stages of adults.  The biblical emphasis of our study will be the Book of Daniel.

Ladies Bible Fellowship (Room 2)
This women’s ABF is a time of study, fellowship and prayer designed to enrich your life and encourage your walk with Christ.  The current study is “Esther” by Beth Moore . 

Kinship (Room 3)
This is a discussion-oriented gathering focused on  knowing, understanding and living our identity in Christ.  Our focus is to come together as a community of believers who are being “stirred” by the Word, “struggling” well together and “serving” one another. 

Koinonia (Room 5)
Teacher: Hud Huddleston.  Need some encouragement and a place to belong?  This ABF is focused on deepening community and praying for one another as they study and discuss the scripture.  The current study is the book of 1 Peter.

Young Couples (Room 10)
Our focus is fellowship, study and applying biblical principles as couples. We desire to develop deepening community as we pursue marriages, families and relationships that are rooted in Christ.   PS: No perfect people allowed.

Homebuilders (Auditorium)
Teacher: Rick Stewart.  Devoted to equipping the saints with an understanding of sound doctrine and spirit-filled living.  The current study is the book of Colossians.

College and CareeR (7:00-9:00 PM)
The College and Career class is a discussion based study committed to fellowship through weekly dinners at 7:15pm at the Gilbert’s home (during the fall and spring).  The current study and discussion is MPC's "The Life of Christ" weekly devotionals on the book of John.  Click here for more information.

Study of the Revelation of Jesus Christ (Rm 1: 5:30-7:00)

Teacher:  Roger Wisdom.  A study of the Book of Revelation. The goal of this class is to study the Revelation of Jesus Christ biblically, historically, and theologically in order to acquire an understanding of the Book of Revelation and its implications for our lives today. In this verse by verse study the themes of the book will be developed, with emphasis on the events leading to the Lord's return to establish His kingdom. Attention will be given to the details of unfulfilled prophecy and the teachings of faith and life that are applicable for us today. Each person who attends will be given a set of class notes, charts and outlines.

Church History in Plain LanguagE (Auditoruim 5:30-7:00)

This Sunday evening class is an historical review of the church through eight great ages based on the book of the above title by Bruce Shelley.  The class is being taught by Rick Stewart  We are currently in the Age of the Christian Roman Empire: AD 312 - AD 590 .  This class will cover the periods of Jesus and the Apostles; the Age Catholic Christianity; the Age of the Christian Roman Empire; the Christian Middle Ages; the Age of the Reformation; the Age of Reason and Revival; the Age of Progress; and the Age of Ideologies. The class will meet in the auditorium from 5:30pm-7:00pm.

Mom's Parenting Study (Rm 5: 9:30-11:00 AM)
This is a class for women desiring to learn how to train up a child in the Lord. The class is based on the material “Discipline Them, Love Them” by Betty Chase.

Money Matters (Auditorium: 6:00-7:00 PM)
Rick Stewart will be teaching a spring class series on "Money Matters", "Successful Christian Parenting" and "The Book on Leadership" all by John McArthur.
