We believe that the Biblical mandate for leadership is a plurality of shepherd elders who oversee, lead, and care for the local church. The elders strive to shepherd the flock following the Biblical pattern, and to be involved in developing future leaders for our church.

Deacons:
Our goal for a deacon ministry is that it be characterized by compassion, kindness, and mercy. It is designed to effectively organize and centralize issues that provide care for our church family. It functions in four specific ways in serving and ministering to our church family; giving personal attention to the physical and material needs of the church family; widows, elderly, single parents, the sick or disabled; maintaining personal contact with those in need and who are unable to attend the worship and activities of Melonie Park Church; distributing financial or material aid as needed; and assisting those who are new to Melonie Park Church to assimilate into our church family as quickly as possible.
