“Helping women grow in godliness in an environment of grace.”
The Women’s Ministry of Melonie Park Church is led by a team of women committed to prayerfully seeking God for His direction in the development of ministry opportunities in which women of all ages are inspired to use their God given gifts as they minister to one another in the Body of Christ.
We believe spiritual growth happens in an environment of grace in which women are provided the opportunity to study God’s Word together and through their participation in mentoring relationships (Titus 2:3-5) as they serve one another.
Our goal is to implement our mission statement by:
Providing women the opportunity to be equipped to fulfill their God given roles within their spheres of influence.
Developing a sustained ministry environment in which women have the opportunity to consistently fulfill their purpose in the Body of Christ.
Encouraging and Inspiring emerging leaders
Providing encouragement and direction as women pursue their ministry goals
Building teams for ministry working together to achieve their ministry goals and objectives
We believe that this approach to ministry is unique in the sense that all women are in ministry together serving one another, life on life, by simply being who God created them to be, recognizing that effective ministry is a work of God’s indwelling Spirit in the life of each believer.
Some of the opportunities currently available to women are:
Small Group Bible Studies – These studies are held on various days of the week. More information is available by contacting the church office.
The Annual Women’s Retreat Held Each Spring at Ceta Canyon - These retreats serve as a wonderful opportunity to get away for a weekend and hear God’s truth taught, to share in small group time and to build lasting relationships while having fun over crafts, hiking or just relaxing
Just Dinner – A quarterly event in which women come together to enjoy a catered meal and spend time building relationships with one another.
Brown Bag Lunch and Testimonies – These lunches are held each summer during the months of June and July and provide an opportunity for all women, including those who work outside of the home to bring a brown bag lunch, spend some time in fellowship and hear an inspiring story as women in our body share a part of their life journey with us.
Apples of Gold – This ministry is based upon Titus 2:3-5 and provides women the opportunity to come together and serve one another through the development of mentoring relationships. Follow up small groups then meet in various homes and have the opportunity to continue building meaningful, life on life, relationships. Plans are currently being developed for the next Apples of Gold class.
